68% of planning decisions exceeded the statutory determination period. The Planning service is under review.

The Council publishes performance information on the determination of planning applications in line with national planning guidance. This report covers the most recently completed reporting quarter.

Overall, 68% of planning decisions issued in the period exceeded the statutory determination period set out in the Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) Order 2015.

Service review

The Planning service is under review. The review is considering caseload, staffing levels and the use of extensions of time agreed with applicants, and will report its findings to the Planning Committee in due course.
