Beverley 2050 is the Council's long-term vision for the borough: a vibrant, connected and resilient waterfront town, and a place where people are proud to live, work and raise a family.

Beverley 2050 sets out the Council's ambition for the next twenty-five years. It has been developed with residents, businesses and partners, and reflects the Council's priorities of place, prosperity and pride.

Our strategic pillars

A vibrant waterfront

A reimagined Beverley Beck and riverside, connecting the town centre to the water through new public space, cultural venues and waterside living.

A connected borough

Sustainable transport links between Beverley, Hornsea, Withernsea, Hedon and Skipsea, supported by new active travel routes and improved public transport.

A resilient coast

Long-term investment in coastal resilience, helping communities along the Holderness coast to plan and adapt with confidence.

Prosperous town centres

Town centres that support thriving high streets, new business space and a growing visitor economy across the borough.

A proud, healthy community

Neighbourhoods that support wellbeing at every stage of life, with strong schools, accessible green space and a renewed sense of civic pride.

Delivery

Beverley 2050 will be delivered in phases over the life of the strategy, in partnership with residents, businesses and neighbouring authorities. Delivery is subject to funding.
